course description

This 12-hour lecture will give students a basic overview of media prep and the upstream cell culture process. Students will develop an understanding of the purpose of media and buffers in cell cultures and how to work safely. They will also explore the upstream process and understand how cell cultures are grown and monitored using bioreactors. By the end of this lesson, students will have the foundational knowledge of how media prep supports upstream processing in the production of cell cultures.
