Single-Use Technology in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Bioprocessing

course description

This course covers the basics of using single-use technologies (SUT) to manufacture regulated products, ensuring their integrity, and protecting end users (patients). Regulatory agencies are focusing on strategies that minimize the introduction of contaminants in products, and single-use technology is one successful way to accomplish this. These technologies will be discussed, covering what they are, their history and evolution, the rationale for using them, the applications of SUT, advantages and disadvantages (or challenges) with their use, and the implementation of these into a company's manufacturing model.
